I started flameworking pipes at a shop called Pure Virtue in Rockville, Maryland. Im from Frederick, Maryland originally, and soon after starting at Pure Virtue I attended Salem Community College. Salem is where I earned a 2-year Associate's degree in Scientific Glass Technology, and a 2-year Associate's in Fine Art.

I have taken classes with Lucio Bubacco and Paul Stankard, Sally Prasch, Kenan Tiemeyer, Roger Parramore, and Jason Gordon outside of my schooling.

I took a trip to the Glass Art Society conference in Murano, Italy in 2018 and it has influenced some of my working techniques, however I've always been rooted in heady glass!
